What is a PMVO?
The NFT hype train is driven by demand to claim ownership of digital goods. But NFTs are really just a pointer to data, such as a JPEG, on a server. They don’t really convey ownership of anything & are only as permanent as the blockchain used to make the pointer.
A PMVO is a node in your metaverse, as defined on our MaaS page, presented as an in-game object. Ownership is clearly established and the owner can transport, exchange, and visualize the PMVO throughout an entire ecosystem much like an NFT. But a PMVO isn’t just a pointer to data on a server. It is the data so PMVOs can handle data complexity far beyond the limitations of NFTs. The result is complete and indisputable provenance throughout an object’s entire lifecycle.
